How to Link and Activate Your Epic Games Account
Creating an Epic Games account
Sign up at epicgames.com with an email address (or another sign-in option offered there). That account is what you’ll link to each console or launcher.
Linking a console to your account
The process is the same across PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch: launch an Epic Games title (like Fortnite) on the console, choose “Link an Account” when prompted, and you’ll get an 8-digit activation code — it’s time-limited, so use it fairly quickly. On your phone or computer, sign in at epicgames.com/activate and enter the code.
Unlinking an account
Sign in at epicgames.com, go to Account → Connections, find the account you want to remove, and choose Disconnect.
Frequently asked
What platforms does the Epic Games Store support? PC and Mac. Whether a specific game also supports console play is listed on that game’s own store page.
Can I try a game first? Some publishers offer free trials directly through the store — availability varies by title.
Getting help
Epic’s support site is linked from epicgames.com. Worth knowing: Epic has repeatedly warned that any third-party site offering to “activate” your account for free rewards or V-Bucks is a scam — the only real activation page is epicgames.com/activate.
